Your Hana tour will pick you up around 7 AM depending on your pickup location. You'll be greeted by your local certified guide who will give you luncheon menu for your review and order.
Once back on the road, within just a few minutes you'll drive by Old Paia Town and then Ho'okipa Beach Park, where you'll begin noticing a huge change in scenery as you head deeper into Hana Highway. Before you know it the road will get narrow and windy...
The famous (or infamous, for many) Hana Road features 620 curves, several parts where only one car can pass at a time, including 59 one-lane bridges. Needless to say, this is not your "everyday" commute, so we can pretty much guarantee that once you're in "the thick of it", you'll be so happy you're not doing the drive and will realize choosing a guided tour to Hana was by far, the best choice you made during your Maui vacation. Your driver is also a certified guide and is very experienced on this unusual road and will be sure all participants enjoy a comfortable and enjoyable ride.
Hana is not a destination, but one of the many stops of this one-of-a-kind journey into nature, exotic waterfalls, breathtaking sea cliffs, historical sites and much more! Anyone venturing this drive on their own risk missing out on so much of the hidden beauty of the "off the grid" locations and the rich history of our 'aina (Hawaiian for land). Hana Tours of Maui will take you to quite a few spots where not only you'll be in awe of their beauty, but while there will get to learn about its history and folklore.
