RENTAL POLICY
The basics are listed below:
- You need to be at least 18 years old to rent a scooter, and at least 21 years old to rent a motorcycle. If you're not 18, you need to have your parent or guardian come in to sign the rental agreement.
- A major credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover) is required for all vehicle rentals. If you don't have a major credit card, you will need to bring a cash deposit. Not too, much. Just enough to cover any damages.
- All vehicles with an engine size under 50 cc can only be ridden by one rider at a time. Transporting more than one person is illegal in the state of Hawaii.
4. You need a valid motorcycle license to rent any motorcycle over 50cc. A valid drivers license is required for 49cc moped rentals.
There are few other things to remember when renting a vehicle from Aloha Motorsports:
- You'll always be offered the free use of a safety helmet.
- We make sure you know how to operate the vehicle before you leave.
- If you're ever in an accident you need to report it immediately.
- You need to follow all regulations in the Hawaii Rules of the Road Handbook.
- You can only ride on paved roads. Unless you're renting an off-road vehicle.
Additional Fees:
- All Cancellations are non-refundable unless they are made at least 48 hours prior to pick up time.
- A fee will be assessed if you lose the keys.
- A late fee of will be assessed if you return your moped late.
Motorcycle Deposits and Waivers
In the case of a rider causing damage to a rental, the rider may be responsible for a portion of the repair costs. The table below outlines the deposit options for such an event.
So for example: If a rider pays a $24.00 deposit, he or she is only responsible for the first $1,000.00 of repair costs. *Deposits are non-refundable. *Damage costs are placed as holds on your credit card, and only authorized in the event of damage.
