Featured as one of USA Today's favorite zip lines, Kapalua Zipline is the one-of-a-kind way to experience West Maui's native rainforest while enjoying the thrill of its out-of-this-world zipline courses.
Your 3-hour tour will start as you are taken by a 4-wheel drive Polaris ATV to the 1,400 foot elevation of West Maui Mountains, where you will be fitted with state-of-the-art zip line gear. Your adventure begins as you cross the valley on a 360-feet suspension bridge in order to get to the first of seven zip lines. Kapalua's 6-line course features line #3, the longest zip line on the course over 2,000 feet in length and 243 feet in elevation change. Your adventure includes a healthy snack and Maui's Gold Pineapple, as you enjoy the 360 degree views of the West Maui surroundings.
If you are nervous about heights or feel apprehensive about tackling an experience such as this, know that this tour is designed to gradually prepare you for some of the higher, longer zip lines. Your professionally trained guides will be with you at all times to make sure that everyone has a positive experience. All equipment is checked daily and meets or exceeds all industry standards. Kapalua Zipline follows the "Challenge by Choice" philosophy, which ensures that no-one will be forced to do anything they aren't comfortable with.
To participate you must be at least 10 years of age, weigh a minimum of 60 lbs of a maximum of 250 lbs. All customers will be weighed upon check-in, and anyone who is found not within the restrictions based on age or weight will not be allowed to participate and will not receive any refund.
All participants must wear closed-toe and closed-heel hiking or athletic type footwear.
Kids under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult or guardian, while minors between the ages of 15 and 17 can zipline alone but must have an adult guardian sign the liability waiver. You should be prepared for some light physical activity. Tours include climbing stairs and walking short distance over uneven terrain. Be advised that the weather can change quickly so layered clothing is a good idea. Remove hanging or dangling jewelry and rings before beginning your ride.
