Enjoy a fun and exciting Maui bike tour, from 6,500 feet above sea level, down Mount Haleakala, the House of the Sun. This is an awesome opportunity to experience the thrill of bike riding over Maui's beautiful upcountry area and witness incredible sites! You can choose between two rides: First Light or Late Morning. Both will include a light snack, the safety of having guides that will be with you throughout the entire journey and custom bikes, built specifically for this downhill adventure, with Ultra-brakes  and soft ergonomic seats. You can also add a hotel pick up for convenience.

Activity Details
Enjoy the incredible bike ride down Mount Haleakala, beginning at the rolling hills of Kula at 6500ft, after witnessing the first rays of sunlight up in the mountains! Your tour includes  a light morning snack, served at Maui Mountain Cruisers' base yard. You'll experience incredible views once you begin coasting down 26 miles, stopping for photos and a "NO-HOST" cafe stop. Complete your tour biking down to the historic seaside town of Paia.
 
Bikes are equipped with soft ergonomic seats, wide "bullhorn" style handlebars, fat tires, and Ultrabrakes. hand-operated drum brakes built into the hub of the wheel. Their reliability in all types of weather makes them common on motorcycles and the standard for downhill biking enthusiasts.
 
You have the option to purchase additional hotel pick up or if you prefer, you can meet the crew at the bike shop where you'll enjoy a breakfast snack, coffee and will be fitted for your gear (fleece jackets, gloves, bikes, helmet). You will get to enjoy a visit to the top of the Haleakala Crater (National Park) before being taken below the gate of the park where you'll start your downhill ride.

Tour Restrictions:

  • Bike Riders must be 12 years old and at least 4'10" tall 
  • No beginner riders
  • No pregnant riders
  • All participants must sign an Acknowledgement of Risk form
