Pacific Whale Foundation was founded as a nonprofit organization in 1980 in order to protect and research whales. Maui is fortunate to have a bounty of whales come for the months of December to May and enjoy the protected waters surrounding Maui. You have the opportunity to spend two hours on the water seeing and learning of these beautiful creatures with the researchers! Activity Details

Choose between the following 2-hour whale watching cruises:
Xtra-Discounted (6:30 am and 2 pm daily)
Special (9 am and 11:30 am daily)
Whale Watch PLUS**, featuring a maximum of 70 passengers for a more personalized experience** (8 am & 10:30 am on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays)

Some people may ask when the best time to go see the whales would be. Whales are indifferent to the time of day, they will do what they do whenever! We recommend our customers to go in the morning as that is when the weather conditions are best, which is also why the afternoon tours are discounted.


FREE CHILD PROMOTION: Get 1 FREE CHILD (Ages 7-12) per paying adult. 
A discounted rate is available for the 6:30 am Sunrise Tour
Additional Information

All tours check in 45 minutes prior to departure time. Check in location is at the Pacific Whale Foundation store located at 612 Front St. in Lahaina.

No vessels are allowed to approach the whales within 100 yards. On occasion the whales will approach the boat though!
