When people think of Maui, many think about learning to surf at this ocean paradise. Lahaina offers great conditions for those wanting to experience this exhilarating sport. With spectacular water, views and mellow waves this surf academy located in the main area of Lahaina provides great instruction in either a group or private context. A perfect opportunity for beginners to experience surfing or Stand Up Paddling! Whether you choose a group, private or semi-private lesson, you'll be sure to enjoy a fun and exciting time in the water and go back to say "I surfed in Hawaii!".

Available 6 days a week, Monday thru Friday
7:45am, 9:00am, 10:30am, 12:00pm & 1:30pm
Saturday: 7:30am, 8:30am & 10:00am

Check in is 30 minutes prior to lesson.

Activity Details

Beginner Lessons: 

  • Everything you need to get up and riding!
  • Ages 8 and up
  • Up to 6 students per instructor

Semi-Private Lessons:

  • Instructors will work on getting you to turn and trim down the face of the wave.
  • Minimum of 2 students per instructor
  • Add on participants welcome to join!

Private Lessons: 

  • One on One expert instruction to take you to the next level
  • 1 student per instructor
Additional Information

Children 7 years and younger must book a private/semi private lesson.
We always recommend the first classes of the day as there are less crowds and lighter winds.
