Maui Off-Road Adventures - Lahaina

Maui Off-Road Adventures has partnered with Pu'u Kukui Watershed Preserve to offer an incredible riding experience, which will also give you interesting insight into the importance of its eco-system.

You will learn about Mauna Kahalawai Summit, one of the world's wettest spots and home of animals and plants, found nowhere else in Hawaii or anywhere in the world, for that matter.  This location consists of over 1,400 acres of riding terrain with the most breathtaking views of the ocean.

Activity Details

Maui Off-Road Adventures features top-of-the-line off-road Polaris RZR 900's - safe and powerful vehicles that will take you through some exciting terrain without sacrificing the surrounding views. You can ride alone or share your vehicle with up to three more people. During the ride all licensed riders will have the opportunity to take the wheel, as the tour will make stops for pictures and resting. You will get to ride on a private 1,400-acre terrain which offers the best views of West Maui Mountains, Kapalua, Lahaina, the Pacific Ocean and the islands of Molokai and Lanai. 

As part of an ongoing rehabilitation project to restore this beautiful mountainside to its indigenous landscape, as a participant of this Maui Off Road Adventure, you will get to plant Koa trees during your tour. The word "Koa" means  warrior in Hawaiian. The Koa wood has long been used to build canoes and other important goods for the Hawaiian people and is a huge part of their culture. Koa is a treasured and valuable hardwood that represents integrity, and strength, which are foundational qualities of a marriage. Maui Off Road Adventures is proud and honored to be a part of such an important restoration project and allow their guests to enjoy such a magical and beautiful area at such an intimate level.

Additional Information

IMPORTANT: Following an orientation, all participants taking the wheel anytime during the tour will have to successfully drive a proficiency course. Licensed passengers will have the opportunity to switch off driving throughout the ride, at one of 2 to 3 stops which will be made along the way for pictures and resting.

CONDITIONS
Definitely an off-road adventure
Clients will get dusty and possibly very dirty
Tours operate regardless of the weather so if it is raining prepared to get wet
Paper towels to wash hands, arms, and face are available but it's recommended that you bring your own wipes (No showers or sinks are available)
