Maui Wave Riders surfing school is a family operated business who has been offering surfing lessons and SUP lessons on Maui for several years and have earned a reputation for being a top notch, professional surfing outlet also known for showing their guests the "spirit of aloha". They pride themselves on being specialized in kids, beginners and cowards! Their Lahaina surfing and SUP lessons are held in historical Lahaina Town, just minutes from Kaanapali, Kahana and Kapalua resort areas. They are conveniently located in downtown Lahaina, so you can enjoy a nice meal after your lesson, since you'll definitely be working up your appetite after surfing the Maui waves! You can also do some shopping in town or visit some of our historical landmarks like the famous Banyan Tree Park, the old Lahaina prison, just to name a few.
SURFING LESSON
A 2-Hour lesson that guarantees you will have an awesome experience and will be riding the Maui waves soon after you enter the water! You will enjoy a 10-15 minute land lesson which will show you the basics of surfing and ocean safety. The remainder of your lesson will be in the water with your instructor.
Minimum Age Requirement: Group - 10 & up
Private & Semi-Private - No age restrictions
STAND-UP PADDLE SURFING LESSON
Stand-Up Paddling, or SUP has become a very popular activity enjoyed by visitors and local Maui residents alike, as it provides all participants a fun and enjoyable workout for the legs, abs and arms! Your lesson will last 1.5 hours and will get you going on this fun and exciting new sport; it includes a rash guard, reef booties and the SUP equipment.
Minimum Age Requirement: Group - 10 & up
Private & Semi-Private - No age restrictions.
CHOOSE YOUR LESSON:
Group Lesson - You will join a lesson with up to six participants per instructor. Due to safety reasons children under 10 years old may not participate in group lessons.
Semi-Private Lesson - The perfect option for a couple or a small family with kids! You'll have one instructor for your party for more personalized attention.
Private Lesson - For a personalized "one-on-one" lesson. Kids as young as 2 may participate in this lesson as they will have their instructor's 100% attention.
